The Northampton St. James club was found in 1880 in Northampton England as a way for a local clergyman to instill order to young parishioners. The plan was for the "hooligan sport" to "turn them into gentlemen". It did not take long for the Saints, also known as 'Jimmies', to become a major rugby union team in England and only 20 years for one of its players, Harry Weston, to be awarded an England cap. The professional rugby union club plays in Premiership Rugby and has captured 6 major titles, most recently the Premiership Rugby cup in 2019.
